Things to remember....

Mama :
Recently, Cayden is more responsive .....Just want to record all these down so that when he become notti, I can re-read all these entries and be reminded that he was once cute....hahaha...

Elephant :
I have been showing what is an elephant.....and also doing the action of nose swinging of an elephant. All along, he has got either no reaction or just smiles and walk away. Yesterday over dinner, showed him the picture of elephant, he suddenly put his wrist near the nose and start swinging....wa....so cute....

Monkey :
Show him the action of monkey and even made noise likened to a monkey...but he bo hew me. Yesterday, right after the elephant trick, I asked him "How is a monkey like ? " He put his hands underneath his armpits and even said "oo...oo...aa...aa" cute !!!

Bus :
Brought him up close and personal to a bus at a bus stop. heehee....He has never been so near to a bus before. Anyway, he was so in awe.....and started to do the actions of the song (wheels on a bus go round and round).....I was not sure what it was in the beginning, Joash was first to realise....hahahaa

Toddlers class :
I went to his childcare earlier yesterday. I did not open the door immediately cos I wanted to spy on him. The teacher was having a story telling session. All the older kids were squeezing to sit right in front of the teacher (knee to knee). Poor Cayden could not squeeze in fast enuff and could only stood behind all those older kids. He was too short and every one or two seconds, he would walk around the older kids to get a better view. And he always put his hands behind his back when he walked around.....exactly like an inspector ! Then suddenly, he said "mumm...mumm" very loudly and point to the book.....the teacher was showing a pic of a bear eating an ice-cream.....

First Day....

Mama :

Last week, he went to the Tots group a few hours a day to let him get used to the environment. Yesterday was Cayden's first full day at the tots group. He was very cranky over dinner, refusing to eat properly and crying at every smallest details. After struggling thru dinner, he refused to bath, screaming his head off. On the way to MIL's place, he was crying to be carried out from his carseat. Only settled down and stoned when I sang Baa Baa Black Sheep. When I switched to another song, he cried again cos he only wanted Baa Baa Black Sheep.....

When at last, we managed to reach home at 8 plus. He fell asleep at 9:20 only to wake up at 11 plus to fuss and cry. Struggled till 12 plus before he fell back to sleep again. I told Alice (my pantry lady who has babysitting experience) what happened and she told me that he probably played too much during the day.

And according to his activity sheet, he only slept 45 mins yesterday. So I asked the teacher this morning to try to let him sleep longer. Teacher W said that he woke up a few times yesterday during his nap and maybe this was due to the new environment. Hopefully, he will settle down after a few days.

Plus, my face is itching so much from the new facial lotion I only tried twice ......

Fast Food

Mama:
Before Cayden was borned, Joash and I planned to introduce to Cayden the concept of Macdonald only at about the age of 5. When cayden was younger, Joash and I would sneak into some fast food chain hoping that Cayden will not know where we were.

Last week, we went to Long John Silver to eat dinner. Cayden had his first fries and he was eating like a PRO. It was then I decided not to frequent fast food chain with Cayden around.

We were driving home from my mum's place just now and we got stuck at the King Albert Complex traffic light. Cayden saw the Mac there....pointed to us and said "Mmmmm.....Mmmmm.....! Ammmmmph !" imitating the action of eating !

Gosh ! When did he know ?!!!

Night Safari

Mama :

Joash wanted to go Night Safari and since we got 50% discount for the admission ticket, we decided to go. With so many failed planned trips to the zoo, I was not sure whether we could make it to Night Safari.

But.....we did. It was surprisely crowded though it is still World Cup season. We got onto the tram which will bring us around. Cayden was sitting very still on my lap cos it is dark. Cayden is fearful of darkness so I was thankful that he did not cry. We pass by deers and more deers....(I think different species of deers...)....The little boy was not excited. I can understand. I can hardly find the animals in the dark ! He only perked up when he saw the elephants. The elephants stood amazingly near to the tram track. It was just chewing his leaves, flapping his ears and staring at us. Cayden was so excited that he gestured the "come come" hand signs to the elephants and said " neh neh neh" still chewing on to the milk bottle.

After the 40 minutes tram ride, we took a 20 minutes stroll round the night zoo. Cayden was asleep halfway thru the walk.

PS : I packed everything which I thought may be useful for this Night Safari trip. I got food, drinks, baby biscuits, anti-mozzies lotion, long-sleeve tee, long pants, his bowl with spoon and fork......everything, except for the camera.......geez....

Baby no more.....

Mama :
Last few week, Teacher Radi told me that she brought Cayden up to the Tots area to mingle with the toddlers a few times....I heard that he enjoyed himself playing with all the big boys and girls.

Picked Cayden up from BI this evening. The infantcare nurse told me that she would be putting Cayden together with the toddlers group when Cayden turn 15 mths which is couple of days later. Normally, only when the tots turn 18th month, they will be transfer to the tots group. She said that she could see Cayden is getting bored in the babies group and was behaving "babyish" to get attention. She thinks that it is best to move him upstair which has more stuffs to keep him challenged.

I am pretty worried that he will be bullied by the tots. They are afterall stronger and faster than him.

I think I will let him have a trial and see if there are any problems......

The Pianist

Mama :

Although I learned how to play the piano half my life, I am not musically inclined and I am tone-deaf. By sheer determination, I managed to get to a decent grade. I do not wish that Cayden would play a instrument well in future but I do hope that he is not tone deaf. Hmm....dun even start to talk about HB...just know that when he starts to sing, I know he is out of tune. But I do have a sister and a cousin who is good in music...so Cayden still have hope.

We were at my cousin today. My cousin played the piano to entertain Cayden.....

Papa brought me cycling at East Coast Park. We met up with Yi yi and her friend. We cycled all the way to the East Coast Hawker Center which is not very far away from where we rented the bicycle. We sat there for almost half an hour before we cycled back. Hmmm...not very exciting right ? I think i can do better with my tricycle !

Rummy Tummy at a PC show

Papa wanted to buy a new laptop and as it is the last day of the PC show, Mama decided that we shall go there as early as possible to avoid the crowd. The PC show starts at 11am....and we arrived at 10:30am....and gosh.....!!!! there were alot of people standing outside waiting for the doors to open !!! It was so crowded that from where we were standing, we cannot even see the doors.....

I got this from a pretty lady when we walked past her booth. So sweet of her.....i gave a more than a few blow kisses....she looked so thrilled.......women are so easy to please....papa..you should learn a few things from me....

I fell asleep halfway thru the show....so boring.........can't wait to go Sentosa in the afternoon with my friends........but mama said i cannot go cos i had diarrhae....sobs...sobs...I only soiled my diapers 4 times in the morning....that's not alot .....:(

In the end, we ended up at Grandma's cos Papa wanted to setup the projector for World Cup........
