The Great Singapore Sale is here once again...
We need to get some new clothes so we decided to brave the shopping crowd.....

We din buy much things....actually only a pair of Levi Jean for Joash...

Sigh ... cannot shop with Cayden around !!!

Mama:

Remember, I made these posters for his 1st birthday....I can't bear to throw them away, so I kept them on top of a shelf. Cayden saw these posters today...and actually climbed onto the sofa-bed to try to get them. And once he got them, he would blah blah blah to the poster and kiss the posters non-stop. Somehow, I think that he knows it is him.

Looong dinner

Mama :

Whenever we go out for lunch or dinner with Cayden, it is at most a 1 hour affair. This is because Cayden's patience will not last very long.

Yesterday, we went out for dinner with mum, dad and my sisters for a steam boat buffet dinner. For the first 30 minutes, Cayden was sitting in his high chair eating his dinner, for the next 30 minutes, he was playing with my mobile, his gong gong's pen, my sis's mobile and lots of other things....still in his high chair. The last 30 minutes, he was on the floor playing with the highchair and lots of other things. And he picked up a piece of toufu on the floor which he had dropped it earlier and popped it into his mouth before i could stop him.

His gong gong is the kind of person who is very prime and proper when dinning out. So whenever Cayden shouted for food or toys, his gong gong would look elsewhere (as if pretending it is not Cayden who shouted).

Hehe...I wonder when will be the next time we are going to dine out with gong gong again.

By the way, I would try not to put a kid on the restaurant floor to play but in this case, i really had no choice.

UTI

Mama :

Cayden had finished two rounds of antibiotics for his UTI. I just received a phone call from Dr Heng telling me the result of his latest urine test. It is clear !! Yah !!!

and double Yah cos i dun have to collect any more urine sample. It is such a headache collecting urine from a super duper active kid. And on top of this, we have to collect his urine 2 hours before 11am cos the urine has to be picked up by 11am from the PD office to the lab. It is like mission impossible 4.

In the beginning, we used the urine bag. I would stick the urine bag over his penis and put the diapers over the bag. But after 3 rounds of sticking it on and peeling it off from his balls, Cayden would scream in protest whenever he sees me with the urine bag. To make it worse, I did not stick the bag properly in place during the 3rd round (the last round) so the urine leak out of the bag and into the diapers. Wasted effort !!! I was so mad with myself then.

I had no choice because I really have to get it out from him. So Joash carried him to the toilet and both of us strongly "encouraged" him to pee so I could catch the stream into the urine container....poor Cayden ....he kept on screaming and shaking his head indicating that he has got nothing ! We gave up ! We let him run around naked in the house hoping that he would feel the urge after a while.

After a while, i got a feeling that he was going to pee. I brought him to the toilet, wanted to take off his shirt. The moment i turned my head, he pee-ed ..... on the floor....Arghhhhh !!!!

Then i remembered, kids learn by example. So i asked Joash to show him how to do it. hahaha.... So the three of us ended up in the bath area, just waiting for the little prince to pee. 5 minutes passed...no pee.......another 5 minutes passed.....he pee-ed....but arghhhh !!! he stopped when I opened the urine container....another torturous 5 minutes passed....he pee-ed... and yah !!! i got it ..i got it....!!

Who dare to say that our weekend is not interesting :)

Swim Class

Mama :

Today, Cayden went for his first lesson of swimming. Initially he loved it. He kept smiling and splashing ......until Jane carried him away from his Dad and dunk him. From that point on, he cried non-stop.

And he brought this fear into the bathroom too. He refused to step into the bath area.

Let's hope this will not last.


PS : 2nd lesson is worse. The moment he saw Jane...he started crying.....I had to jump into the pool in my Tee and pants just to sayang him.

So bad....

Mama :

I felt so bad...I sent Cayden back to his infantcare today and I was told that there were 15 cases of HFMD. 10 in the tots areas and 5 from the crawlers area. I think that the 4 other cases of HFMD is infected by Cayden.

Luckily from what i heard, the other babies only have a mild case of HFMD.

Thank God !

HFMD

Mama :

I take back my words !!! I am soo worried now.....he is not eating nor drinking. Whatever little bit he manage to eat, he will vomit it out within an hour .....

I tried fresh milk, ice-cream, jelly, juice...whatever.....he is not eating anything and keep pointing at his mouth to tell me that he is painful at the throat. He woke up every 2 hours at night, crying cos he was hungry and wanted milk....but once he started to drink he would cry again cos the sore throat is causing him so much pain.

He hates taking medicine. I had got no choice but to force-feed him. He was crying so hard and was so angry with me that he din want me to carry him after that. He push my hands away.....I felt so sad ! Wanted to cry but have to control myself cos certain things need to be done (like feeding medicine).....

And one thing for sure, i have a cry baby in my arms.

HFMD

Mama :

Cayden had fever suddenly in the middle of the night. It subsided this morning but infantcare called and said he has very high fever. I brought him to the PD and PD suspected it is HFMD. Cayden only has got high fever and sore throat. There is no spots yet but the pattern of the sore in his throats resemble that of HFMD.

Ironically, I will be relieved if it is HFMD instead of a new strand of bacteria in his urine.

*Sigh....

Hip Hop Dancer ?

Mama:
He was very tired on the way home....
but once we reached home and when Papa started to hum him a catchy tune....

Bang !

Mama :

Cayden is very bang-prone....

At the infantcare :
Everytime, he sees us at the gate, he will scream and run towards us. Though i am happy to see this display of undying love for us, my heart always skip a step when I see him run toward us and towards the steps leading to the garden in the infantcare which is NOT the exit ! All caregivers will exclaim in unison :" Cayden, not there...here...the door is here...." but Cayden blinded by his love will continue to charge toward the garden via the steps, until one of the caregiver scoop him up. Phew !!!

Another incident. Similar scenerio. And this time, he charged towards the glass sliding door which is the correct exit.....but, 'BANG', the glass door is closed and he banged his head. He did not even stop to cry. Sigh !

Just yesterday, he saw us at the gate. Wanted to charge towards us.....and wait....the little bull suddenly stopped in his track. He turned around and ran towards the glass sliding door. And suddenly, there was clapping and cheering at the background. The caregivers were happily exclaiming :" He knows !!! He knows (where is the real exit) !!! Yah !!! "

Now the real test is to see whether he knows how to open that glass sliding door.....

Little Tikes Rocking Horse :
We borrowed a Little Tikes Rocking Horse from a friend - Hani aka Qdee. He was rocking happily and not very fast (read : safe). Reckon he got bored with it after a while. He got the horse, walked around the house, walked back to the horse, got on it, got off it, then hands holding the handles, he put his left foot on the saddle followed by the right foot and then start rocking. OH MY !!! HOLY COW !!! I nearly fainted, dropped everything i was holding and ran to hold on to him. And that rascal thought it was fun to let go of the handles and hold on to my hands instead !


 

My heart skipped two beats that day....

Little Tikes Junior Slide :
He thinks it is fun to slide down bum first ! Need i explain more ?! Sigh !!!

Mama:

Couple of weeks ago, we went to Miharu to have lunch. There was no baby chair so Cayden was trapped in the chair with the table in front of him and his diaper bag behind him.

Had a walk around the area and got a few shots.

 
 

Then we went to Isetan Scott to walk around.
 

Love the last shot. He was running away, escaping from Ronald MacDonald !
  

The whole world revolves around Cayden and his papa.....Thanks Goodness !!!

Mama :

Recently, Cayden has been extra sticky to his father. Whenever, his father walks out of the bedroom, Cayden will scream and run after his father. He wants to follow wherever his father goes.

 

It is more evident when Joash goes out of the house to throw trash. Cayden will cry and run to the door and tries to bang the door down. Quite heart-wenching to see such pitiful sight.


 

But, on the other hand, I get new sense of freedom. I can just walk all over the house without a little kiddo shadowing and spying on me......yipee !!! I am enjoying while it lasts !

Cayden's new trick : He will put both his hands on his nose and tips his head backwards, pretending to sneeze, when I said "A-tis-choooo". Hilarious to watch !
